Attacker has 'distorted beliefs' on realtionships

A HOLIDAY park break ended in a woman fearing for her life at the hands of her violent partner during a disgraceful attack.

‘The victim, who had been with with Sam Tandy since they were 11, said their on-off relationship had been “volatile” in the past, particularly when he was under the influence of alcohol.

‘They were on a short break to a holiday park near Hexham in January this year when his “distorted beliefs about power, control and entitlement” in a_ relationship exploded into a shocking attack.

Newcastle Crown Court heard he was drinking while in a hot tub when he started becoming aggressive.
