DUKES ECB NORTH EAST PREMIER LGE

ALASDAIR Appleby fired Felling to victory on a rain-hit afternoon, with an innings of 38 from 24 balls seeing his side home against Shotley Bridge.

The Bridge were skittled for just 82 as Palzer Tamang - who later made an unbeaten 21 - claimed 5-20 and Elliot Fox 4-19. Paul Greenwell top-scored for the visitors with 35.

In reply, and after numerous rain delays, Felling made the required runs, with Appleby smashing four sixes and a four as the hosts reached 83-5 from 11.5 overs.

Tynemouth and Sunderland drew in the only other game played to a finish. Matthew Kimmitt made the runs for Tynemouth, scoring 61 in their total of 162-5 declared off 30.2 overs.
