Gym training and walks of fame are all part of MARION McMULLEN’S LA story in Hollywood
READY for the woof stuff? Dog-pound in West Hollywood helps celebrities such as singer Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Spider-Man Tom Holland stay in shape.
X-Men’s Hugh Jackman was one of the first clients of the gym and fitness brand founded by Kirk Myers, and they both used to bring their dogs along with them when they worked out.
It seemed only natural that the gym ended up being called Dogpound.
So how do you fast-track your way to star fitness? I was keen to take on the challenge and headed along with my water bottle and towel ready to work up a sweat.
Personal trainer Jake Garrison gleefully threw everything at me... press-ups, slam balls, weight and fitness bands.
He’s relentless as he shouts out the final seconds between each circuit before allowing a full 45-second break before it all starts up again.
The music pumps out and the session offered an all-round workout that left me positively buzzing and just a little red-faced. I’m pretty certain Taylor Swift does not end a session looking the colour of an exploding tomato.
But whatever it takes to get in shape, Dogpound is ready to go. Jake says: “If an actor wants to be fit for a movie or a music performer for a tour then we can help.”
