Gulf states on high alert following US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites

Several Gulf states, where multiple US military bases are located, have been placed on high alert as US attacks on Iran have raised the possibility of a widening war in the Middle East.
-
US President Donald Trump said the US strikes on the key nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan had been "very successful" and warned against any retaliation, saying: "Remember, there are many targets left. Secretary of Defence says the US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites were an "incredible and overwhelming success", without providing any details. "The order we received from our commander-in-chief [Trump] was focused; it was powerful and it was clear. We devastated the Iranian nuclear programme," he told reporters at the Pentagon.
The latest exchange of missiles between the Middle Eastern enemies followed the US bombing of Iran's nuclear sites at Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow, with President Donald Trump saying the attacks had "obliterated" the three facilities. (Al Jazeera Map)
