Govt. to import rice again

The Food Policy and Security Committee of the NPP had recommended importing rice again to meet a shortfall, the President's Media Division (PMD) announced yesterday.

The decision was taken at a meeting jointly chaired by Agriculture Minister K.D. Lal Kantha and Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe.
