Getting kids to eat their veggies

As any parent knows, getting kids to eat their vegetables can be a battle.

However, ensuring that children consume the nutrients they need for growth and development doesn’t have to be a daily struggle. With a bit of creativity and patience, parents can encourage their kids to eat more vegetables without turning mealtime into a battlefield.

Children are more likely to eat foods that look fun. Presenting vegetables in an engaging way can spark curiosity. Try cutting vegetables into fun shapes, using cookie cutters, or arranging them into colourful patterns on the plate. Make faces out of cucumbers, carrots, and peas, or create a "veggie rainbow" with a variety of colourful vegetables. The more visually appealing the dish, the more likely children will be intrigued enough to try it.
