Witnesses saw 'blood everywhere' after teen stabbed

WITNESSES have described the horrifying moment Ahmad Mamdouh al Ibrahim was stabbed in a Huddersfield street with "pools of blood everywhere".

Alfie Franco, 20, is currently standing trial at Leeds Crown Court charged with the murder of Ahmad, who died after being stabbed on April 3 this year. The prosecution say Mr Franco stabbed 16-year-old Ahmad after he made "minor contact" with his girlfriend.

On Friday, two witnesses gave evidence to the court about the incident, including Ahmad's friend and another man. The second man gave evidence via a prerecorded interview with police carried out on April 4.

He told the officer he was in town with his mum on the day of the stabbing and was going to a flower shop when he saw an altercation. He said: "We were walking on the road and while we were crossing I saw a man and a woman stood together and two males in a confrontation.
