MMIGRANTS arriving with visas in the UK far out number those in small boats, 948,000 as against 37,000 in 2023.

Any reasonable person might ask, why does the UK need 948,000 immigrants and why are politicians and influencers so concerned that one in 25 arrive in small boats.

The largest cohort of immigrants are international students with temporary visas. Paying university fees of up to £30,000 per year and a separate fee to access the NHS, international students have a nett contribution to the UK economy, north of £40 billion.

Cancelling all international students would almost halve the number of immigrants, but likely bankrupt higher education.
