Mobile speed cameras will be placed around region this week

MOBILE speed cameras will be in place at locations across West Yorkshire this week.

They will be positioned to catch speeding drivers in an attempt to make our region’s roads safer. The speed cameras are put in place by West Yorkshire Police on behalf of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership.

In this article, the cameras listed are for locations in Bradford, Calde-rdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. The locations listed are accurate at the time of publication, but are subject to alteration without notice.

According to the Camera Partnership, the cameras work by pointing a laser at passing cars.

The cameras are also put in place in known casualty zones, where accidents take place, in a bid to reduce them.
