COLLEAGUES have paid tribute to a much-loved and respected Huddersfield dad who has been described as a kind and caring boss in the NHS.

Dad of three Gary Boothby, of Lindley, who was 55, worked as executive director of finance for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and was based in Huddersfield.

NHS colleagues have shared tributes to Gary, an avid Leeds United fan, who died on February 3.

Gary was a liver transplant recipient who spoke out about the vital role of organ donation. Gary's original liver failed when he was in his twenties.

Jo Hardcastle, assistant director of finance at the Trust, said: "Some of us have had the pleasure of working with Gary for all his time at CHFT, and some for not so long.
