FORMER Huddersfield Town loanee Owen Goodman says he is pleased to have been “given the opportunity to come and play football” after joining Barnsley for the second half of the campaign.

Former loanee Goodman 'blessed for opportunity'

The 22-year-old featured 12 times for the Terriers in the first half of the season before having his spell terminated by mutual agreement earlier this month.

Goodman has now joined the Tykes on loan, with the goalkeeper making his debut for the fellow League One outfit in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Blackpool.

Upon sealing his switch, Goodman told his new club: "I'm very grateful and blessed to be here.
