COUNCILLORS TOLD VALUE FOR MONEY IS PRIME CONSIDERATION
COMPULSORY Purchase Orders can be dropped if the price for a piece of land that represents value for money to council taxpayers can be agreed with the owner, says a senior councillor.
But as it stands, CPOs approved by a Cabinet for some parcels of land which Calderdale Council believes are necessary to develop a business park near Brighouse need to be in place, he said.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet had been asked about the orders prepared for land for Clifton Business Park.
