Team Mouat push curling boundaries

Mouat have gone from the disruptive new kids on the ice block to the ones setting standards for curling in Britain and beyond. The men's curling team, led by Bruce Mouat, formed in 2017 and won their first 14 matches as a quartet.

Since then, Olympic, world and European medals have flowed all while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the sport.

"Just naturally we fell into our style of play," said vice skip Grant Hardie. "Aggressive curling is what we would call it - having a lot more stones in play than there maybe used to be in top Scottish curling teams.

"And I think the younger ones coming through maybe realised to compete at the top level in the world, that's more of a game style they need to play too.

"If you're in here training next to a team that's had success, you're just naturally going to see what they're doing, and they're trying to emulate it."
