Submarine firm starts recruiting for workers

PRODUCTION TO START SOON
A DEFENCE tech company has already started recruiting in Plymouth as it aims to start production of AI submarines in the city this autumn.
The Herald last week revealed how Germany-headquartered Helsing is coming to Britain's Ocean City as part of a £350m investment in the UK with plans to open the 'Resilience Factory' at the freeport site at Langage.
Today, more details have been revealed with Peter Quentin, a Helsing executive in the UK, revealing that a site has already been leased at the Plymouth and South Devon Freeport. He said that the idea is for the facility to be established within months with "production starting in the autumn.
