NEWTON ABBOT TO HOST HMS TRIUMPH'S FINEST

Submarine crew on parade

THE crew of the Royal Navy's Devonport-based nuclear-powered "hunter-killer" submarine HMS Triumph will march through the Devon town of Newton Abbot with fixed bayonets on April 1.

A military parade will grace the town's busy streets as the crew of HMS Triumph exercises its freedom of the town. It is the first time the honour has been bestowed on any organisation, creating a milestone in the community's history.
