SCARR AND WRIGHT RETURN AND HELP ARGYLE TO VICTORY
DAN Scarr and Callum Wright made immediate and successful returns to action for Plymouth Argyle as they won 1-0 away to Rotherham United in their first match since the sacking of Ian Foster.
The pair had been largely frozen out of first team contention under Foster, whose tenure at Home Park lasted only 87 days and 14 Championship matches before relegation-threatened Argyle parted company with him.
Scarr lined up in the centre of a defensive trio as the Pilgrims kept just their third clean sheet of 2024, with the previous two also coming in away wins against Swansea City and Middlesbrough.
Wright, meanwhile, played in one of the two attacking positions behind Ryan Hardie and had a couple of decent scoring chances in the first half.
