Prison sentence for fly-tipper's foul acts

Daniel Cunningham, 35, was also given a two-month prison sentence for his acts, but to run concurrently for a sentence he is already serving for an unrelated offence.

Cunningham found to have used his van on four separate occasions to dump suspected asbestos, kids toys and gas cylinders across the city.

The first incident occurred on November 2, when waste items such as old carpets, gas cylinders, children’s toys, and black bags filled with general waste were found in the rear lane behind Milehouse Road.

CCTV footage from the area showed Cunningham’s van turning the corner just under two hours before the fly-tip was discovered.

Later in the month, on November 17, Cunningham's tipper was once again spotted on camera. This time, a member of the public captured the vehicle on their dash cam and mobile phone.
