A LONELY rabbit which lost its sight and home in a devastating fire has found love just in time for Valentine's Day at a Plymouth animal shelter.
Lop rabbit Hope thought she might never find some-bunny to love after being rescued by Woodside Animal Welfare Sanctuary, on the edge of Plympton.
But thanks to some matchmaking from sanctuary staff, resident Lionhead rabbit Milk proved to be perfect hus-bun material.
"They're both so lovely and are brilliant together," said Woodside animal care assistant Lauren Egan. "They enjoy each other's company and because Hope is blind, she takes comfort from having Milk around - and he's happy to provide it."
Following the house fire, Hope was taken to the vets where, sadly, one of her eyes had to be removed.
