ACLEAF RESTAURANT AT BORINGDON HALL RETAINS ACCOLADE

- WILLIAM TELFORD

Michelin star for city restaurant

A PLYMOUTH restaurant has been awarded a coveted Michelin star for the second year running. The Àclèaf restaurant at Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa, in Plympton, was honoured for its £120-a-head, fourcourse menu.

Àclèaf, which means oak leaf in Old English, was awarded its first star in 2023. The eatery, which also has four AA Rosettes, has become a key dining destination in the South West food scene, with visitors travelling from afar to sample the awardwinning menu.

The Michelin-starred menu includes chicken liver, brioche, crab, curry, mango, Highland wagyu Wagyu beef, beetroot, pepper and chocolate, miso, sesame and is open to a limited number of non-residents each evening. Hotel bosses say that to secure a seat at Àclèaf, diners should book a dining inclusive package at Boringdon Hall. Four-courses costs £120 for each diner.
