JACK MacKenzie could finally be ready to make his Plymouth Argyle debut before the end of this month after a hugely challenging time dealing with injuries since his summer signing from Aberdeen.

Head coach Tom Cleverley had indicated that the left-back could be available for selection for the League One game against Mansfield Town at Home Park on Tuesday, January 27.

The visit of Luton Town next Saturday could come just too soon for MacKenzie to be considered but after such a long layoff it is encouraging he is close to fitness.

The 25-year-old has not played a competitive match since he was a substitute for in their Scottish Cup final success against Celtic in May.
