(AND THIS TIME IT'S NOT ON THE PITCH)

- By KATIE OBORN

IT was the night before Halloween when I braved some ghostly encounters at a very well-known Plymouth location.

There were several very spooky characters with the first one wielding a chainsaw, but it was the second ghostly being that really freaked me out as “death” appeared from the shadows.

Plymouth’s Home Park became a “Spooky Stadium” on Thursday, and last night the ghosts and ghouls were appearing there again, with the potential for even more fearful encounters.

The Spooky Stadium event organisers at Home Park explained the “quantum realm” of the premises as becoming a “gateway for ghosts, ghouls, and creatures from beyond”.

It’s the first ever time that Home Park has “opened the gates” at Halloween, inviting those brave enough to step inside, “if you dare”. So I went along on Thursday, with one of my friends, to see what frights and mysteries we might find - and the scariest moment was being chased by “death”.
