Tuesday's 2-0 loss at home to Bideford meant it was a third successive Devon derby defeat for the Lambs after Willand Rovers and Exmouth Town also won at Langsford Park.

Away from home, Henderson's young charges are faring better with a 1-1 draw at Melksham Town last week and a 2-0 success at Mousehole before that.

Defeat to the Robins, though, saw Tavistock slip to second from bottom of the table with their only other win this season at home to Falmouth Town. Tomorrow, they travel to Inkberrow, who are level ‘on seven points with Tavi, but out of the relegation places by virtue of having a better goal difference.

"I think most of our better performances have been on the road," Henderson said. “I don't know why that is, but I felt that we were good down at Mousehole.
