Fourth whitewash sees SWS D slip into Division Two
The Herald
|November 06, 2025
THE final week of phase one is now complete and two teams from the lower division will be promoted and two teams from the higher divisions will be relegated before the start of phase two
In Division One, Shopfitting by SWS B managed to win the phase by just one point after beating SWS D 10-0, but it was still an enjoyable match with some outstanding rallies played. With their fourth whitewash of the phase, SWS D have also been relegated.
Shopfitting by SWS E are relegated after losing 9-1 to Molyneux Associates B. Trevor Mole playing up for SWS saved the whitewash.
Molyneux Associates A fought hard to get the top spot but, as mentioned, they came up just short when Crafthole's Shirley Luckhurst beat Paul Haigh 11-9, 8-111, 11-9, 11-9 in a close encounter.
Playing though an injury, Shopfitting by SWS A's Martin Parnell could only manage a solitary team point and with the C team's Johnny Hill taking a brilliant maximum, the game ended in a draw.
