Ex-partner of acid attack victim on conspiracy charge

THE ex-partner of a man who suffered a horrific acid attack at his home has appeared in court charged with conspiring to murder him.

Paris Wilson, aged 34 and from The Quay, Plymouth, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday where she spoke only to confirm her name, age and address.

The court clerk read out three charges faced by Wilson: conspiring together with others to murder Danny Cahalane, conspiring with others to kidnap Mr Cahalane and participating in a criminal activity of an organised crime group to kidnap and murder Mr Cahalane.

Prosecutor Gareth Warden summarised the case against Wilson, who was supported by friends and family in the public gallery, stating that the charges related to an incident which took place at a property in Lipson Road, Plymouth, at around 3.55am on Friday, February 21.

Mr Cahalane suffered horrific facial injuries during the incident which saw him hit with sulphuric acid. The court was told he still remains in hospital.
