'EASY DECISION'

PILGRIMS'LEADING GOALSCORER HAS SIGNED A NEW THREE-YEAR DEAL TO STAY AT HOME PARK
STRIKER Ryan Hardie said that the faith manager Steven Schumacher has shown in him and his love of life in the South West made it an easy decision to extend his time at Plymouth Argyle.
The Pilgrims' leading goalscorer put pen to paper this week to sign a new three-year deal to stay at Home Park.
Once the partying celebrating winning the League One title and promotion to the Championship settled down, job one for Hardie this summer, who was out of contract, was to sign a new deal, and it did not take long for the deal to be done.
A motivating factor for the 26-yearold agreeing the new deal was how happy his partner Chloe and his young son are with life in the South West. Hardie and the clan moved down following his move to Argyle in January 2021.
The striker had been on loan in two separate spells over the previous 12 months, then made the switch a permanent one. It is a decision none of the family have ever regretted.
"When I made the move permanently, we spoke about: 'was this a place to bring up a young child?' Thankfully we made the decision that it was because it's been unreal so far," he told Plymouth Argyle's official website.
