WIFE IS DUE TO START HOSPITAL CANCER TREATMENT ON FRIDAY
Blaze at a luxury Dubai hotel during an Iran air attack
A PLYMOUTH man who has been on holiday in Dubai with his family is worried they won't make it home in time for his wife to start her cancer treatment.
Paul Stone and his family are among thousands of Britons who are stuck out in the Middle East, after hundreds of flights were cancelled due to the current conflict in the region.
They have effectively been in lockdown while the explosions and drone attacks have hit Dubai.
Estate agent Paul was on the last day of a family holiday with his wife and daughter when "bombs went off above our heads."
The Stones were due to leave Dubai on Sunday morning, in good time for Paul's wife to get her first chemotherapy session in hospital on Friday.
But the Devon property expert said it is now "very unlikely" they will be back in time in the UK.
He said: "It's daunting and not nice. But ultimately there is nothing we can do about it."
