Explore a mysterious and ever-changing mansion in this near-perfect puzzler
-
Blue Prince
(PEGI 3) PS5, Xbox X/S, PC
I DO love puzzle games but it's rare that I find myself completely absorbed by them.
But after just a few hours with Blue Prince, the latest indie title from developer Dogubomb, I was so invested I had to force myself to switch off the console and go to bed.
Billed as an atmospheric, architectural adventure, it's set in Mount Holly, a mysterious mansion that's been left to you by your great-uncle.
The estate house has 45 rooms which shift and move as you explore - but Mount Holly only becomes yours if you can find the 46th room, which lies hidden within the building's walls.
On paper it sounds easy - but there is a catch. At night, when the rules say you have to leave the mansion, the rooms move around.
So when you return the next morning, refreshed and ready to renew the hunt, you are back to square one.
Your search begins in the main lobby of the house, an opulent space which is essentially the centre square on your search grid.
