DIVISION ONE

Chaddy's Sam Bruty came back from two games down to beat Gary West in a tense five ends winning 6-11, 7-11, 11-7, 14-12, 11-9.

Shirley Luckhurst (3) was the in-form player for Crafthole A against Astor A, with a controlled and consistent performance.

Crafthole started well, going 4-1 up by the half way stage and looking favourites to take the match. Mike Cookson played an incredibly fast game to beat Astor's Tony Maestri, hardly missing a loop in the entire set, however he fell short against Steve Garlick, who managed to contain Cookson's looping with a counter hitting game.

In the second half of the evening, Luckhurst took the only singles point for Crafthole, and with Astor taking the doubles, the match ended at 5-5; a fair reflection of the evening.
