Boateng sure Argyle will get through their tough period

MIDFIELDER HAS BEEN RARE PLUS POINT FROM A VERY DISAPPOINTING START TO SEASON
MIDFIELDER Malachi Boateng has earned praise from head coach Tom Cleverley for his consistent Plymouth Argyle performances but he has admitted wins are what he really wants.
The Pilgrims have begun their 2025/26 League One campaign with four consecutive defeats, and while obviously very disappointed about that the 23-year-old remains optimistic about the season ahead. Boateng said: "It has been a challenging start. We have played against four good sides so far, not got the results we have wanted but the good thing is that it's at the start and there is obviously time to rectify it as well.
"We have definitely had a chance to pick up points in those games. It has been difficult but the word is just to stick together through a tougher period and I'm sure we will get through it."
Boateng has started all five of Argyle's matches this term - four in the League One and the other in the 3-2 Carabao Cup first round victory over Queens Park Rangers at Home Park.
"I feel like I have been positive, I have tried to help as much as I can," he said. "I think when I have a run of games it's normally when I perform a bit better.
