Argyle chairman Simon Hallett
Argyle bounced into profit despite relegation from the Championship last season - but now owes owner Simon Hallett more than £12 million. The football club made a profit of £478,000 in the year to June 2025, after recording a loss of £2.422m the year before.
The uptick came from increased turnover and, mainly, the sale of players, with it generating “good returns” from sales Morgan Whittaker, Lewis Gibson, Michael Cooper, Dan Scarr, Adam Randell and Ryan Hardie.
Since the end of the 2024/25 season, in which Argyle were relegated down to League One, the Pilgrims also have sold Maxi Talovierov and Rami Al Hajj, which will be reflected in next year's report.
The annual report and financial statements of Plymouth Argyle Football Club Ltd also reveal the scale of loans made by owner Mr Hallett.
