Hatton's family reveal 'immeasurable' sense of loss after boxer's death

Ricky Hatton's family have opened up publicly for the first time since the news of the boxer's death, saying they feel an “immeasurable” sense of loss.

The 46-year-old Hatton was found dead in what police said were no suspicious circumstances at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester on Sunday, with tributes paid from across sport and wider society towards the former world welterweight champion.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son Richard,” the family said in a statement released via Greater Manchester police.
