Grants for households and businesses installing electric vehicle charge points will rise by 40%, the Department for Transport (DfT) has said.

- PA Media

Renters, homeowners without driveways and businesses will be able to save up to £500 when installing a charge point during the 12 months from 1 April. Currently, the amount is capped at £350. The DfT noted this would be the final year of the grants.

It said the £500 limit would typically cover nearly half the cost of having an EV charger installed.
