FAMILY HEARTBROKEN AFTER SON DIED SUDDENLY WHILE WORKING IN CHINA
THE parents of a loveable young Boro fan who died suddenly while working in China have spoken of their unimaginable grief as they continue efforts to bring him home.
Just 90 minutes after speaking to her son, Lindsey Hall was surprised when her phone rang and 25-year-old Bradley Hall’s number appeared on the screen.
Devastatingly it wasn’t her son on the other end of the line but his friend, who broke the unimaginable news that Bradley had died.
Bradley, a former Teesside University student from Middlesbrough, had been working in China as a teacher for the past two years.
Now his distraught family are arranging for his body to be brought back to the UK where they hope will get answers on what caused his unexpected death.
They've been told his sudden passing may have been caused by a heart-related issue, but weeks after signing the papers for a post-mortem in China, they were told it would cost £3,000.
Now a GoFundMe page has been set up by his devastated family as they work with the authorities in the UK and China to bring Bradley home.
“He was fit as a fiddle, 25-year-old, he went to the gym, went to work, went on dog walks,” said mum Lindsey. “I got a call on Saturday, May 10.
“I was talking to my son an hour and a half beforehand, chit chatting away. Then he rang back. I said ‘hiya son, alright?’ but it was his friend to say he'd passed away. I used to message him every day to make sure he was OK. I just liked to hear his voice every day, we talked every day.”
