Washing machine woes have put me in a real spin

MY WASHING machine has decided that it is not going to work this week which is a complete pain because typically I have a massive load of washing to do.

Why do things like this never break when you have just done all your washing?

It actually broke with a pile of washing in there and it blew the fuses several times.

Also my fuse box is really high on my wall which being small and not able to stand on something safe (obviously not a random chair) doesn’t make it any easier.

I have two wooden sticks, which seems the best way to try to reset it. I figure that as I am pushing some plastic buttons rather than anything with electricity itself then I am OK.

Anyway so far I haven't done any damage to myself.
