Strong spine key for Boro, says Pulis

May 14, 2025

TONY Pulis says Middlesbrough's bigger summer priority should be strengthening the spine of their squad, after they dropped a concerning amount of points from winning positions this season.

- By CRAIG JOHNS

A disappointing campaign overall for Boro saw them finish tenth in the Championship, missing out on their goal of reaching the play-offs. As such, a thorough review is under way to make sure key improvements are made for next season.

There were many issues that ultimately contributed to Boro's shortcomings this term, but dropping points from winning positions was without doubt one.
