School's high standards applauded

A SECONDARY school has been praised for its 'highly inclusive culture' following a visit from Ofsted inspectors.

Manor Community Academy in Hartlepool was one of the first in the country to be inspected under the new framework being used by Ofsted, in November last year.

The Owton Manor Lane school, which is run by Northern Education Trust, was found to be delivering a strong standard of education.

Steven Jones, principal of Manor Community Academy, said: “This report recognises the unwavering commitment of our staff to our students and our community.

“We are proud to serve Hartlepool and to provide an inclusive, ambitious education that opens doors for every young person.
