Report to follow return of town centre scheme

Bath Lane North short stay car park in Stockton

The 'first hour free' returned yesterday and will stay in place until January 31 next year, which Stockton Council said was to support residents and businesses with their Christmas shopping and activities. It had controversially ended in February, when it was replaced with a £1.50 charge for three hours' parking in Stockton and Yarm town centres in February.
