Police probe into human remains is still ongoing

ALMOST three months after workers discovered human remains at a recycling plant in Hartlepool, a police investigation remains ongoing.

Detectives and forensic teams were called to the Biffa recycling plant, off Brenda Road, after workers discovered a number of bones. Specialist examination confirmed that the remains were human.

Cleveland Police has confirmed the “extremely complex and sensitive” investigation remains ongoing 11 weeks later. In the immediate of the shocking discovery, forensic investigators could be seen at the large industrial site as two blue tents were erected in one of the large doorways of the unit.
