Names of elderly couple seen jumping from Whitby cliffs released

An elderly couple who “jumped” from the cliff edge at Whitby have been named.

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed David Jeffcock, 80, and Susan Jeffcock, 74, died on July 30 after falling from the cliffs near Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire.
The pair were reported to have held hands when they jumped.
Following the tragic incident, a witness at the scene told The Daily Mail how a pair were seen “jumping” from the cliff edge. He was camping at the time on the cliff nearby when he said ‘all hell broke loose’.
