MIDDLESBROUGH Women recorded an impressive 4-1 victory at Liverpool Feds, following a disruptive week in which the club announced manager Mick Mulhern will not be involved in day-to-day duties until further notice.

The club last Thursday issued the Mulhern statement while saying there would be no further comment, with coach Joe Lillie instead taking charge. And he oversaw an impressive victory away at Liverpool Feds, who finished sixth last term and were third ahead of Boro's visit.
Becky Ferguson scored a first-half hat-trick and Olivia Watts netted a superb solo goal in the second half as Boro Women moved up to sixth in the table with their first away win of the season.
