McGree sent to specialist amid list of injury frustrations

RILEY McGree has recently seen a specialist as part of Middlesbrough's investigation into his injury woes of the past two years.

McGree has endured a frustrating 24 months with injuries, which have impacted his ability to help Boro as a result. Still such an important player for Michael Carrick when he is fit, the Australian has ultimately been unable to play in more than half of the club's games of the last two campaigns.

It's a frustrating situation only magnified by Boro's struggles with inconsistency in both seasons. And with his problems never the same ones, Boro sent McGree to see a specialist after his most recent problem in the hope of finding a long-term solution. As expected, the 26-year-old was spotted back in training on Tuesday ahead of Saturday's crunch clash with Coventry City.
