King Charles III honours Teesside unsung heroes

COMMUNITY workers and education bosses among those who have been recognised in the King's Birthday Honours 2025.
More than a dozen people who live, work and volunteer across Teesside have been awarded accolades in the list which was has been unveiled.
They are among more than 50 people from the North East who have contributed to their community and country and 1,215 recipients in total have been awarded for their exceptional achievements, with a particular focus this year on those who have given their time to public service.
This year's recipients include dedicated community champions, role models in sport, pioneers in the arts, passionate health workers, and supporters of young people.
Teesside community stalwart, Kath Callan, said she is "humbled" by the award.
