DANNY King says getting a third successive win at Edinburgh tonight will not be easy but is confident his damaged hand will be up to the task.

King bids to rule north of the border once more

King crashed at Berwick last Saturday and hurt the hand he had surgery on during the winter, but rode in the Premiership at Ipswich and dropped just one point in the Witches’ 54-36 success against Leicester on Monday.

“Edinburgh's a tricky track and they have hit a bit of form lately, so we'll have to be on our game but Armadale holds good memories for me and I seem to get round it well,” said the 36-year-old former British Champion.

“I've had physio on the hand since Monday's meeting at Ipswich and, although still a bit painful, it should be OK.”

King and skipper Charles Wright joined forces to grab a match-winning 5-1 in the final heat last year to add to the 47-43 success the Bears savoured in 2023.
