NEW £25M FACILITY OPENED IN APRIL

THE success of a new multi-million pound community diagnostic centre in Stockton town centre will only be judged properly after its first 12 months, a meeting has been told.
The £25m centre in Bridge Street opened its doors in April and has already carried out more than 15,000 tests on patients for a range of suspected health issues including cancer, heart and lung disease.
It comprises two MRI and two CT scanners, X-ray services and four ultrasound rooms, along with cardiology and respiratory functions.
Stacey Hunter, chief executive of the University Hospitals Tees group which covers both North and South Tees NHS Foundation Trusts, previously described the CDC as a “significant investment” having “world class facilities”.
