Whittaker is in the form of his life for Middlesbrough right now - though the great irony is, it's his defending that boss Kim Hellberg is always chatting to him about.Whittaker continued his goalscoring run of late as he scored in a sixth successive match to help Boro dispatch QPR at the Riverside on Saturday.
Excluding Emmanuel Latte Lath, whose seventh successive game with a goal came in the first game of last season, Whittaker would become the first Boro player since Brian Clough to score in seven consecutive games in the same season, if he nets at Bristol City on Saturday.
A lot of work has gone in from Hellberg to ensure his forward players are playing a system and style that helps get the best out of them, and it's certainly paying dividends right now.
