Fresh warning issued to car park hooligans

CAR hooligans are still causing misery at a beach car park with residents complaining of screeching tyres, revving engines and cars doing donuts.

Cleveland Police have confirmed they are still receiving regular complaints about vehicle related ASB at Redcar's Majuba car park.

Nuisance drivers are now being warned that police and partners will continue to take action against them.

Over recent months the force has received reports of screeching tyres, vehicles performing donuts, stationary cars repeatedly revving their engines, horns blasting and even deliberate backfiring - all into the early hours of the morning.

One caller who lives slightly further away from the car park even reported they could hear vehicle noise over their TV and through closed windows late one night.

There have also been reports of motorbikes being ridden dangerously on and around Majuba and people moving around the car park in near darkness, putting themselves at risk.
