Fettis bids farewell to Boro after three years

ALAN Fettis has commented on his Middlesbrough exit, thanking Boro officials and the goalkeepers he worked with at the club ina statement.

Goalkeeper coach Fettis left Boro last week, three years after he joined the club from Manchester United. As Boro now begin the search for his successor, academy head of coaching Chris Pennock has taken up the role in the interim.

As for Fettis, the exact reason he left Boro remains unclear, with no indication in Fettis’ statement as to why either. Fettis had remained at the club when Chris Wilder was sacked, and did so again when Michael Carrick was replaced by Rob Edwards, but exits three months later.
