Bullying victim Kelly in bid to make kindness fashionable

A MUM who left university after being bullied is launching a new children’s clothing brand, with the ultimate aim of helping other young victims.

Kelly Brown and her husband Lewis are busy adding the final touches to their new streetwear shop and depot which is set to open in Stockton next month.

To mark the launch of the brand named YOUTS, the couple from Yarm have created a T-shirt with an anti-bullying message which goes on sale on Monday.

A percentage of the profits will go towards helping children on Teesside who have faced bullying. And when the clothing business is up and running, Kelly and Lewis plan to continue the campaign which is already online.

Mum-of-six Kelly, 35, said they expect the business to be predominantly online sales.

However they will also run the shop on Prince Regent Street which includes an office for marketing and recording anti-bullying podcasts.

There is a team of four currently working for the company but Kelly said they hope to take on more staff in August.
