Brothers attacked by burglars

TWO good samaritan siblings were attacked with an axe and a kettle when they went to investigate noises coming from their neighbour's home.

The brothers managed to get hold of burglar Robert Harland, 35, after they found him in the house next door, on South Terrace, South Bank, in the early hours of January 14. But Harland’s accomplice John Guest - who lives on the same street as the house he was caught inpicked up an axe and began attacking the pair.

A third person, a female pal of Guest, hurled a kettle at the head of one of the brothers. She has not yet been found by the police.
