CITY MAN NYPAN REVEALS HIS SHOCK AT TRAINING 'DEMANDS'
Sverre Nypan is still finding his feet at Boro after his loan move from Manchester City
SVERRE Nypan has opened up on the early shock he got after completing a loan move to Middlesbrough from Manchester City.
Speaking in an interview while back in Norway over the past ten days where made his senior international debut, the prospect admits he found his early training sessions at Middlesbrough overwhelming: largely because of the intensity that Rob Edwards demanded.
But the 18-year-old, who joined Boro after City sought English league experience for the starlet after his £12.5m summer switch from Rosenberg, feels he's already benefiting from his time at Boro.
Speaking to Norwegian outlet Nettavisen, Nypan said: "I remember the first training there, I was running around and could hardly think! You had to get up under pressure and run as much as you could. Gradually it becomes normal, the metres you have to cover become a habit.
"Then you are able to calm your head down a bit and start thinking, at the same time as you cover the metres you have to. I feel like I am making progress every day. It is important to get pace in your game, that is what I am after. I feel I have already taken some steps up in terms of fitness and have more steps to take.
